Some of you may recall that actor Kal Penn left House for a position with the Obama administration. Shin Inouye, White House director of specialty media, offered this explanation when asked why Penn hadn't started work yet:

"The suicide of his character on House was quite shocking," Inouye says, "so everyone thought there should be a bit of timely delay before he takes up work for the administration."
