There’s a Thing Called Grace |
by Kim Moreland |
After spending many years living a sordid lifestyle and promoting the same through his art, by the grace of God, screenwriter Joe Eszterhas had a change of heart.
On April 25th, Biola University is hosting a conference about faith and the entertainment industry at which Eszterhas is the keynote speaker.
If you can't make the conference, you might consider purchasing Eszterhas's book, Crossbearer: A Memoir of Faith.

Flashdance from the 80's - has hints of grace & beauty as the young dancer wannabee is able to break out of her poor origins and sordid pole dancing...to professional dance (or professional dance school---I forget).
The great songs "Maniac" and "Flashdance" and the standin actual dancer Frenchwoman Marine Jahan - help you the viewer feel her dreams as she dances as if her life is at stake...
Maybe he can somehow illustrate the grace of God in a different yet equally memorable way in film!!!

Yes, it will be interesting to see how he writes scripts, but one thing is sure--no one can stand in the shadow of the cross without great change.
Artists, like Joe, see some aspect of the shadow which I haven't seen.
