New Discourse podcast on BreakPoint: Christian Filmmaking |
by Stephen Reed |
David Altrogge and Michael Hartnett are the leading principals of an innovative video production and graphic design company called Vinegar Hill Picture Works, with offices in Pittsburgh and in Gaithersburg, Md. They specialize in short videos for commercial and church clients, but also conceive and produce their own films with a redemptive Christian message.
We were able to sit down and talk with them about Christian filmmaking during a visit they made to our Landsdowne, Virginia studio. It's good to see such creative spirit and determination from this generation!

Your podcast is excellent, Stephen! I downloaded them all and worked through them historically. The only disappointment so far is that at the end of #2 (Servant Leadership) you promised an interview with Catherine (Claire) Larson, and apparently it never materialized. I can fully understand; I imagine she's been a rather busy lady these days, and maybe your schedules just never connected. Even so, it would be wonderful for those of us on the West Coast (who find it just a bit challenging to attend book events in Virginia) to finally learn if she sings soprano or alto, and more seriously to hear in her own spoken words a brief discourse on such a humanly amazing topic, and thereby hear her heart.
P.S.: The Doobie Brothers' "Minute By Minute"??!?! A pleasant but altogether unexpected coda. The music choices of podcasters is puzzling and sometimes delightful and almost always fascinating, all at the same time. Your other clips were intriguing but I didn't immediately recognize them; our musical tastes must have diverged in the 1980s. ;-)
