Drinking it in |

Oliver Stone isn't exactly high on my list of discerning truth-tellers, so it wasn't much of a surprise to learn what he thinks of Hugo Chavez.
According to the Associated Press, Stone "sees Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez as an energetic, principled champion of change in Latin [America]," calling him a "world-changer" and "intoxicating." Sounds like he's drunk the Kool-Aid at the presidential palace, a metaphor that should remind Stone and the rest of us that charisma does not necessarily go hand-in-hand with goodness.

Oh how people forget the purges committed by other nasty dictators. Stone is useful to Chavez...for now.
