It's been a tough couple of weeks at The Point, straight out of Job Chapter 1: the USA is likely to elect a horrendous candidate BUT WAIT - our economy's going to bring worldwide chaos BUT WAIT - humankind's population will crash and we'll all starve BUT WAIT - either a meteor will hit Earth or a supervolcano will explode, either one wiping out Life As We Know It. Each new one seems to render the prior pending calamity moot.
Makes me nostalgic for Fun Fridays.
But not every week is going to be fun, and fortunately T.M. is on hand to add some crucial perspective (as usual; thank you, sir!). Regis echoes this in his very poignant piece; my most urgent problem is not in the newspaper or on TV, but in the Bible and my mirror.
So really, things aren't as bad as I thought - they're far worse. The good news, though, is that there is Good News. Thank God.

LeeQuod, as usual, you make an excellent point (no pun intended). I'll have to give some thought to how we could put together another Fun Friday!
