The Point Radio: Are You Being Served?

Do you want to know the secret of greatness?...

Click play above to listen.

Here are some more great ways to serve others:

1) “Adopt” an elderly person in your area who doesn’t have any children. Take your kids by to visit or bake a meal and drop it by.

2) Offer to give a Saturday to your church. You could paint a pastor’s office, weed the planters outside the church, or organize the church kitchen.

3) Teach your children ways to serve guests who enter your home, from greeting them at the door, to hanging up coats, to serving them something to drink.

4) Take a course geared at service: babysitting, lay counseling, or even home-decorating. Then offer your skills for free to others.

5) Ask your church to inform you when someone in the congregation is sick. Then take your family to mow the lawn for them, bring a meal, or care for their pets.
