None of your current bloggers has a surname that's blindingly Irish, so hopefully this isn't too big a loss for the Point staff. Besides, I'd think December 4th (St. Barbara, patron saint of prisoners) and August 13th (St. Hippolytus, patron saint of prison workers) would be bigger deals at PFM anyway.
I'm reminded of that great quote from the Harrison Ford / Tommy Lee Jones movie "The Fugitive": "If they can dye the river green today, why can't they dye it blue the other 364 days of the year?"

I just always thought it was ironic that one of the biggest party/drinking holidays fell during lent...
