"Creationist theory is evolving"
Has anyone else noted that 90% of the time the word "evolving" is used, particularly in the media, it describes something completely opposite to a random, unguided process?
My favorite is the intro to "Battlestar Galactica":
"The Cylons were created by man.
They rebelled. They evolved."
"Evolved" meaning, of course, they advanced and improved as a result of a prescribed plan guided by intelligence at every step.
In case you're new to this game, just pay attention next few times you hear the word "evolving" or "evolved". Someone with a lot of spare time on their hands could do a Lexis search. I imagine the results could be quite embarrassing to certain quarters.

Mother's are hot-wired to protect their babies, study says?
I suppose there's also a study that says babies are hot-wired to cry a lot as well?

Interesting article about the creationism fight in the UK. The thing that bothers me about creation vs evolution is that I think, in many ways Christians like the Answers in Genesis people lose sight of the truly important messages in Genesis. Those messages are God created everything and man rebelled against God.
How old someone thinks the earth is, has nothing to do with their salvation in Christ.
Whether or not a person believes in evolution has nothing to do with their salvation in Christ either.

Whether someone believes in deistic or atheistic evolution (as opposed to theistic), however, has everything to do with their salvation, and the second is what is being taught in schools with a handwave to the first.
