Folks, you have no idea. My church runs a small food pantry that receives a good portion of its content from our regional food bank in Durham. The last time I went to help pick up our food, it was pretty disturbing how empty some of the shelves had gotten! And we have a bigger client population than we've ever had, especially for a little rural county.
Next time you go grocery shopping, remember your local food bank, or a local church food pantry. Together, we can help!
