Matt

So St. Stephen's Day and Boxing Day are the same thing?

Matt, from my research it seems that most of the British Commonwealth celebrate Boxing Day, which is essentially the same thing as St. Stephen's Day. However, St. Stephen's is a primarily Irish holiday and usually corresponds with Boxing Day. However, Boxing Day always falls on Monday, and St. Stephen's Day doesn't have to. I know it's confusing, but hopefully that makes a little more sense. I found some good explanation here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boxing_Day

Sadly, I was not aware of the 26th being "St. Stephen's Day".... and I was NAMED after him!

*Sigh*

But I know now.

Zoe,
Are you sure Boxing Day always falls on Monday?
