Did I just hear a Tim-the-Tool-Man-Taylor-like grunt echoing through the hallowed and befrilled halls of The Point? Someone, fetch the smelling salts!

Oh, no - Allen has aroused the ire of the Pointifex Maxima. Can an Inquisition be amusing? (Yes, see the torture scenes in "The Princess Bride".)

Ooh, I have a new title! Cool! And it's an even better one than "The Empress" from the "Washington Post's" Style Invitational -- and way better than "Blog Mommy," which is how I'm wont to refer to myself at times. Thanks, Lee!
"The Princess Bride" torture scene isn't bad, but then you also have your Mel Brooks take on things from "History of the World Part I." And then "Blackadder" offers a few ideas as well. So many choices, so little time . . .

"smelling salts" - I still chuckle when I think of George F. Will's description of the Larry Summers / Nancy Hopkins incident: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A40073-2005Jan26.html
